Children Have Fantastic Imaginative Ability And Respond Really Well To Hypnotherapy!

Is your child really unhappy? Some children have problems dealing with phobias, night terrors, exam nerves, bed wetting, school phobia, problems with their body image or food. In fact any emotional problems a child experiences can be helped with hypnotherapy.

Children are so receptive to hypnotherapy they can usually be successfully treated within two sessions.

Here at Selby Hypnotherapy I will treat children who are between 8 and 16 years of age. I use a special technique which was designed especially for children which is called the "Blowaway Technique" it is effective for both girls and boys.

I also combine this with another technique called "Changing Limiting Beliefs" or "CLB"

I use CLB to help both the parents and children to see how they use their imagination, language, goals and behaviour impacts on the rest of their lives.

Although I am CRB checked to work with the youngest of children, all persons who are 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult who must remain in the room at all times throughout the session. If we are doing a hypnosis session you will also be asked to take part and will get the benefit of a greating relaxation session at the same time as your child.

I always advise that the parent or guardian who accompanies the child is the one with whom the child has the easiest relationship. I hope that this requirement makes sense as I will sometimes ask both the parent and child to talk openly during the session.

Please note that there is no initial consultation required for working with children. I like to see one of the childs parents for the first consultation. There can be quite a lot of useful information given during this session which can have a profound effect on your childs behaviour.
